The second singles match on Friday pits Serbia’s No. 1 player Novak Djokovic against Gilles Simon.
At the draw on Thursday, the team captains selected Nenad Zimonjic and Viktor Troicki from Serbia to play against Arnaud Clement and Michael Llodra in Saturday doubles. Reverse singles are on Sunday.
Serbia is seeking its first Davis Cup title against nine-time champions France.
The best-of-five series will be played at the Belgrade Arena .
