Somdev matches career-best rankings

India’s Somdev Devvarman has risen four places to match his career-high ranking of 116 in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) charts.

Somdev had first reached the 116th spot for the first time in November last year.

The US-based Prakash Amritraj, meanwhile, climbed 17 places to be at 200th position.

In the men’s doubles, Leander Paes who, with his Czech partner Lukas Dlouhy, won the Miami masters title Saturday, is unchanged at sixth position.

Mahesh Bhupathi, runners-up with Belarusian partner Max Mirnyi in Miami, has moved up one place to seventh.

In the women’s single, Sania Mirza, out with a chronic wrist injury has climbed two places to 90.
