Ramkumar in junior squad

The Indian junior Davis Cup under-16 boys' team, strengthened with the inclusion of Ramkumar Ramanathan, is scheduled to leave for the World Group tennis competition in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, on September 24.

Though Ramkumar was not part of the team that qualified from the Asia-Oceania zone in Malaysia, he has been drafted into the team, on the basis of his good performances in the junior circuit.

Though the International Tennis Federation (ITF) would only pay for three players and the captain, the AITA decided to foot the bill for the fourth player so as to give captain Vishaal Uppal a better option, without disturbing the successful combination.
