Philip Brook has been elected chairman of Wimbledon’s All England Club.
Brook, the previous vice-chairman, takes over for Tim Phillips, who retired after 11 years in the post.
The appointment was announced on Thursday and is effective immediately.
The 54-year-old Brook has been a member of the All England Club since 1989 and a member of Wimbledon’s championship management committee since 1997. He is a former captain of Cambridge University’s tennis team.
