Justine Henin has advanced to the semifinals of the Sony Ericsson Open by beating No. 2-seeded Caroline Wozniacki 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-4.

Henin lost only two of 22 service points in the final set on Wednesday, closing out the 2-hour, 45-minute match with a love game. Her play steadied after she committed 31 unforced errors in the opening set.

The unseeded Henin, who received a wild card entry, is mounting a comeback this year after a 20-month retirement. The seven-time Grand Slam champion improved to 16-3 in 2010 and will move into the top 30 in next week’s rankings.

Henin’s best finish at Key Biscayne was in 2007, when she lost to Serena Williams in the final.
