The Rod Laver Arena was the majestic auditorium for the 2011 men's singles final between Novak Djokovic of Serbia and Andy Murray of Scotland.
While Djokovic made short work of Murray, the Serb's receiving points won percentage - 51% against Murray's 33% - was one of the main contributing factors in the easy victory.
The Scot Murray was well backed by the Melbourne crowd.
The Serb, Djokovic, also had sizable crowd support.
Another key statistic which affected Murray was the four in the double faults column. His opponent on the night, Djokovic, had zero.
Murray, who usually is accurate with his ground strokes, paid dearly with 47 unforced errors. Djokovic, from the other side of the net, was less charitable with 33 unforced errors.
The Serbian, who previously beat Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for his maiden Australian Open crown, added a deserved second to his kitty by beating Murray. In a one-sided final, the Serb conquered the Scot with ease.
