Salgaocar on a winning spree

Salgaocar FC kept pace at the top of the table after a 2-0 victory over traditional rival Dempo Sports in a Round 21 clash of the Airtel I-League football here on Wednesday.

The victory means Salgaocar is now unbeaten in five matches and has kept a clean sheet in four consecutive games.

Four points behind The win kept Salgaocar within sniffing distance of the title. The former I-League champion is now just four points adrift of leader Bengaluru FC.

The result: Dempo 0 lost to Salgaocar 2 (Bikash Jairu 18th, Darryl Duffy 23rd).
