Saketh Myneni loses

Fourth seed Saketh Myneni was beaten 6-4, 6-2 by 299th ranked Pedja Krstin of Serbia in the pre-quarterfinals of the €42,500 Challenger tennis tournament at Ekisehir in Turkey on Thursday.

The 27-year-old Saketh, ranked a career-best 196 following his semifinal entry last week in Samarkand Challenger, collected seven ATP points and €730.

The results:

At Ekisehir (Turkey): Challenger: Singles (pre-quarterfinals): Pedja Krstin (Srb) bt Saketh Myneni 6-4, 6-2.

At Milan (Italy): ITF junior Grade-A: Boys (second round): Corentin Denolly (Fra) bt Sumit Nagal 4-6, 7-6(4), 7-6(5).

Doubles (first round): Felipe Cunha Silva (Por) & Alejandro Tabilo (Can) bt Alexander Bublik (Rus) & Sumit Nagal 7-6(4), 6-4.

Girls (second round): Ekaterina Kazionova (Rus) bt Pranjala Yadlapalli 6-1, 6-4. Doubles (second round): Seone Mendez (Aus) & Panna Udvardy (Hun) bt Wushuang Zheng (Chn) & Y. Pranjala 6-1, 6-4.
