Southern Command race day
The much-awaited annual event was hosted by the Southern Command here today. Apart from the excitement of the race, the demonstration of the traditional combat showcased the operational capabilities of the Southern Army, which included Mock Drills by Helicopters, Tanks, BMPS and the Para Commandos.
To add the excitement, there was Tent Pegging and Dressage Show by Cadets of the National Defence Academy. Also the Brass and Military Bands performed inspiring martial music.
GOC-in-Chief, Southern Command, Lt.Gen. D.R. Soni graced the occasion and presented the trophy to the winner.
