Strategic Command claims main event

Col. S.B. Nair and Mr. Sunil Nair's Strategic Command (P.S. Chouhan up) won the G. Sudhakar Reddy Memorial Cup (1,600m), the main event of the races held here on Saturday (Oct.9). The winner is trained by Deshmukh.

Note: An objection was raised by P.S. Chouhan jockey of Strategic Command, who originally finished second against Aadesh Kumar, rider of Royal Embassy, declared first by the judges. The former said that in the last 300 metres, Aadesh came in from five horses wide and took his ground, when Strategic Command was full of running. Due to this, Chouhan said his horse had dropped a bit and lost what was a certain race. The objection was upheld and the order was revised as above.
