There was a Stewards enquiry into the running and riding of the second race. It was observed that the first favourite Sparkling Spirit was slowly off and then came and finished good third. The Stewards were not satisfied with the riding of jockey Stephane Breux and decided to null and void all the bets for this race. All the bets on Totalisators and with the Bookmakers were refunded. However the Stewards have opened an enquiry into the riding of jockey Stephane Breux and will take action against him.
