Indian boxer Vijender Singh tied the knot on Tuesday with Delhi based software engineer Archana Singh here at the Flying Club.

The wedding was a low-key affair as the guest list included only close relatives, family members and colleagues of the Olympic and World Championship bronze medallist.

The couple will be going to Vijender's village in Kaluwas in Bhiwani, where a lavish reception has been planned.

The 25-year-old pugilist, who returned to the country a couple of days back after winning a bronze in the Arafura Games, had reportedly been dating the girl for the past four years.

Archana hails from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh and works with the British High Commission in the capital.

Vijender has a busy schedule ahead as he gets ready for the Olympic qualifiers, starting with the World Championships in September.

The strapping six-footer jumped a division to light-heavyweight 81kg category in the Arafura Games and would be back in the middleweight 75kg division for the coming events.
