Tejaswini Sawant helped India to a silver medal in the women’s 50m rifle prone at Brisbane on Thursday.
The 37-old-old former World champion shot 618.9 points to land her first CWG medal in eight years, after winning two golds in Melbourne 2006 and two silvers and a bronze in New Delhi 2010.
Tejaswini had a sequence of 102.1, 102.4, 103.3, 102.8, 103.7 and 104.6, while Anjum Moudgil was placed 16th, in a field of 20, with a 602.2 (98.3, 98.9, 97.9, 101.8, 101.8 and 103.5).
In men’s 25m rapid fire pistol, India’s Neeraj Kumar was in lead after the first stage with a 291, having shot 97, 100 and 94 through the eight, six and four seconds series.
Anish Bhanwala was placed third with 286 (08, 98, 90).
