Bengaluru: The Louis Philippe Cup golf tournament, which tees off at the Prestige Golfshire Club here on July 31, will join the 2018 Asian Development Tour (ADT) schedule.
The previous six editions of the Louis Philippe Cup have been staged as a special event on the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), but in 2018, it will be co-sanctioned by the ADT and PGTI with a prize purse of $75,000.
The winner will take home $13,125 and six Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) points.
Around 130 golfers from India and 15 other nations are expected to fill the field. PGTI Order of Merit leader Honey Baisoya, second-ranked Sri Lankan R.N. Thangaraja and Asian Tour regulars like Udayan Mane, Shamim Khan, Rashid Khan and Chikkarangappa are expected to be seen in action, apart from foreign ADT golfers.
