Rio Olympics silver medallist and India’s ace shuttler P.V. Sindhu has expressed surprise at the news that has been in circulation now in the social media regarding the offer of a Deputy Collector’s post by the Andhra Pradesh government.

“Even I am surprised at the news appearing in the social media. The fact is that I have been offered this post during the civic reception hosted by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu in Vijayawada after I won the Olympic medal,” Sindhu told The Hindu on Friday. “Yes, we have agreed in-principle to the job offer, which came along with the cash incentive and the house site by the A.P. government,” she said.
