India’s P.V. Sindhu dropped a place to No.10 in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) women’s singles rankings released on Thursday.

The 2011 World Championship bronze medallist didn’t help her cause as she lost the opener at the $250,000 India Open Super Series against Chinese World No.3 Shixian Wang on Wednesday.

Saina Nehwal, on the other hand, retained her No.8 position.

Parupalli Kashyap has risen to a place to No.23 to once again become India’s highest ranked men’s singles shuttler as Kidambi Srikanth’s dismal performances at the All-England, Swiss Open and India Open saw him drop three places to No.25.
