National under-17 girls’ chess: Mahalakshmi still in lead

Top seed M. Mahalakshmi retained her sole lead at the end of the ninth round of the National under-17 girls’ chess championship at Patna on Monday. With two rounds remaining, she has 7.5 points, one ahead of G. Lasya, G.K. Monisha and V. Varshini.
