Kerala boys start with a win

Defending champion Kerala started its campaign on a winning note in the boys section of the 70th National junior basketball championships here on Thursday.

Kerala defeated Uttar Pradesh 59-45 after trailing 18-22 at half-time. Kerala put up a strong show in the third and fourth quarters as Pranav Prince led the scoring with 20 points. Tushal Singh was the top-scorer with 10 points for Uttar Pradesh.
