Indian cueists ease into semifinals

India marched past Belgium 4-1 to reach the semifinals of the snooker World Cup here on Saturday.

The Indian pair of Pankaj Advani and Aditya Mehta outplayed Belgium in the best-of-seven quarterfinal in a little over an hour.

In the semifinal on Sunday, India takes on Scotland, a team comprising four-time world champion John Higgins and Stephen Maguire.

The latter defeated host and defending champion China ‘A’ 4-1.
