The 29th Sub-Junior National Taekwondo 2011 Championship will be held here at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Multipurpose Hall, Fatorda, between September 29 and October 1.

The three-day event will see participation from 700 players from 29 states and two Union Territories.

The Taekwondo Federation of India(TFI) has appointed 50 Referees and Technical Officials to conduct this mega event.

The Championship will be held under the Technical Supervision of T Praveen Kumar, Secretary General, Taekwondo Federation of India.

Raju D Mangueshkar, President, Taekwondo Association of Goa expressed satisfaction over the preparations of the local players and is confident of winning many medals at the Championship.

“Reigning champion, Maharashtra will be our main challenge. Last year we were placed second behind Maharashtra, but the recent performance of our players in the West Zone Championship was impressive where we beat Maharashtra to emerge Champion,” stated Mangueshkar.
