Garima Chaudhary, who gained a Judo Union of Asia (JUA) quota place, will be the lone judoka to represent the country at the London Olympics.
The 22-year-old’s fine performances in the Paris world championship last year and the Warsaw World Cup and the Tashkent Asian championship this year have improved her world ranking and enabled her to make it to London.
“There is no pressure on me. Rather, I am excited to represent the country as the only judoka,” said the supremely-confident Garima, who considered herself as good as any other athlete in the 63kg weight class.
