Eight hoopsters chosen for NBA Academy

Eight players, with heights ranging from 5’11’’to 7’1’’ and in the age group of 13 to 17, were selected from the ACG-NBA Jump National finals for the NBA Academy in Greater Noida.

Harsh Dagar, Lokendra Singh, Pranav Prince, Lalhnepuia Chhakchuak, Abhi Joshi, Aryan Kumar, Harshwardhan Tomar and Pritish Kokate were chosen from a group of 50 hoopsters from across the country after a two-day camp conducted by Brook Lopez of Los Angeles Lakers.

An insight

Lopez provided an insight into his training techniques while helping to identify fresh talent for the NBA Academy second batch in India.

The process had started with regional clinics and video entries by players, showcasing their basketball skills, athletic ability and attitude.
