Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering (KLCE) won a grand double, clinching the men's and women's honours in the Acharya Nagarjuna University inter-collegiate table tennis tournament here on Monday.
In the men's final, KLCE defeated Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College (VRSEC) 3-2 and in the women's final, KLCE scored a 3-1 victory over VRSEC. Dhanekula Institute of Engineering and Technology finished third in both segments.
Trials
The trials to select the ANU teams for the South Zone inter-university championship will be held at VRSEC on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Third year students of Krishna University are also eligible, announced Organising Secretary YVRK Prasad.
SDMSMK wins
Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala won the Krishna University inter-collegiate volleyball (women) tournament, blanking Stella Maris College 3-0 in the final at Gudivada on Monday. ANR College, Gudivada, took third place.
Swimming trials
The trials to select the Acharya Nagarjuna University and Krishna University swimming teams for the South Zone inter-university competitions will be held Sir Vizzi swimming pool at Gandhinagar in Vijayawada on September 29 at 8 a.m.
