A perfect round of 25 revived the fortunes of Areeba Khan who closed the day with 70 out of 75 in women’s skeet in the shotgun World Championship here on Tuesday. Areeba had shot 23 and 22 in the first two rounds.

Kartiki Singh Shaktawat, who had a good start with rounds of 24 and 23, the best among the Indian women, misfired in the third, with 18. She reached a total of 65.

Former National champion Saniya Sheikh had rounds of 22, 23 and 23 for 68.

Two more rounds will be followed by the final for the top six.

In junior men’s skeet, Gurnihal Singh Garcha (67), Ayush Rudraraju (61) and Arjun Thakur (61) were not that well placed.
