AIBA approves Sandhu in ad-hoc committee

The international boxing association (AIBA) has approved national coach Gurbaksh Singh Sandhu as the fifth member of the ad-hoc committee it has constituted to look after boxing interests in India.

The five member committee that also includes Jay Kowli (former Secretary General of Boxing India that was not recognised by the IOA), Manisha Malhotra (fomer chairman of AIBA’s women commission) Injeti Srinivas, Director General-SAI, will meet in New Delhi on June 27-29 when the selection trials for the women’s boxing team for the Asian Boxing Championship in China from August 6 to 14.
