The Olympic Council of Asia says a Wushu gold medalist from Malaysia has been kicked out of the Asian Games for doping and stripped of her medals.
Council director General Husain al Musallam said in a statement on Tuesday that the banned stimulant sibutramine was found in a urine sample taken from Tai Cheau Xuen after competition on Sept. 20.
The test findings were to be forwarded to the Asian and international wushu federations and the World Anti-Doping Agency for further action, including a possible competition ban.
Sibutramine was also in the positive doping test by Cambodian soft tennis player Yi Sophany.
Tai is the third competitor to fail a doping test at these games.
