Japan, Kazakhstan and Mongolia won two golds each on the opening day of the 10th Asian cadet judo championship at the Rajiv Gandhi indoor stadium here on Thursday evening.

Meanwhile, host India picked a silver through Maharashtra’s Snehal Ramesh Khavare in the under-48 kg girls’ section and also four bronze medals.

Obaid Al-Anzi, president of Judo Union of Asia, inaugurated the championship.

The results (cadets, under-18, final placings): Boys: Under-50 kg: 1. Damir Bolatbekov (Kaz), Shakhzod Ochilov (Uzb), Timur Kumurkulov (Kgz) & Somorjit Singh (Ind).

Under-55 kg: 1. Gaku Toyoshima (Jpn), 2. Enebish Battseren (Mgl), 3. Majid Vahid Barimanlou (IRI) & Nasrullo Shokirov (Uzb).

Under-60 kg: 1. Rauan Begaly (Kaz), 2. Jasur Samadov (Uzb), 3. Yuito Nakasato (Jpn) & Jia-Qing Jiang (Tpe).

Under-66 kg: 1. Teppei Saiganji (Jpn), 2. Adil Myrzaev (Kgz), 3. Mehdi Barghamadi (IRI) & Nitin Chauhan (Ind).

Girls: Under-40 kg: 1. Tsai-Chi Cho (Tpe), 2. Bibikhan Nabiyeva (Kaz), 3. Sweety Luhach (Ind).

Under-44 kg: 1. Burneebayar (Mgl), 2. Ting Chang (Tpe), 3. Galiya Tynbayeva & Krishna Foujdar (Ind).

Under-48 kg: 1. Juhee Yu (Kor), 2. Snehal Ramesh Khavare (Ind), 3. Nursulu Yeraliyeva (Kaz) & Pei-Wen Wei (Tpe).

Under-52 kg: 1.Sosobaram Lkhagvasuren (Mgl), 2. Fu Kawabata (Jpn), 3. Lin Hsuan Hsu (Tpe) & Nurzhamal Zharmanova (Kaz).
