Sharad Kachalia and Mayur Kamdar (representing Navnit Motors), Navroze Marshall and Riaz Batliwala (Simmond Marshall) finished on top in Western Region and qualified for the Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge-India National Final. The two qualifiers will be joined by Nohar Nath and Punnet Matta (Credit Suisse) and Rudratej Singh and Subhash Naidu (Hindustan Lever) who finished in second position.
Navnit Motors tallied 75 points on the opening day, Credit Suisse second by just a point. Simmond Marshall returned a score of 68, followed by Hindustan Lever (66) on the second day. A total of 80 corporate teams took part in the Western Region qualifier played at Aamby Valley, Lonavala.
The Take Solutions World Corporate Golf Challenge is the official India qualifying event for the 15th World Championship of Corporate Golf, featuring corporate teams from 30 countries.
In 2008, Credit Suisse became the first and only Indian team to win the World Corporate Golf Finals held at La Manga Club in Spain. Represented by Puneet Matta, Srikant Nagraj, Shivas Nath and Nohar Nath, Credit Suisse had fired a total of 238 points to win by eight points from Wales (230) and Malaysia (229).
