S. Danush of Akshayah School and Sharon Mary Cherian of The Schram Academy won the individual championships in the Group I category of the inter-school swimming meet, conducted by Madras District Aquatic Association, here on Sunday.

N. Krishnan, President, and Dr. Sadayavel Kailasam, Secretary, Madras District Aquatic Association, and K.K. Mukundan, former National coach, were present at the valedictory function.

The individual champions won a trophy, bicycle and a swimming kit bag from Rare sports.

The results (individual champions): Boys: Group I: S. Danush (Akshayah); Group II: V. Harish Balaji (Agarwal Vidyalaya); Group III: S. Krishna Pranav (Sir Mutha); Group IV: P.R. Kathiroli (Sri Ram Dhayal Khemka VV JC); Group V: Deepak V. Nahar (Gurushree Shanthi Vijay Jain); Group VI: V. Samrudh (Velammal Vidyashram); Group VII: K. Mitesh (SBOA S & JC).

Girls: Group I: Sharon Mary Cherian (Schram Academy); Group II: Priyanga Pugazharasu (Christ Church); Group III: Monicka Pugazharasu (Christ Church); Group IV: P. Preshetha (Chennai Public School); Group V: D. Swathi (Kendriya Vidyalaya); Group VI: N. Shreenithi (St. Britto’s Academy); Group VII: S. Madhushree (Ravindra Bharathi Global School).
