Broadcasters meet opens

Everything was on track to ensure “seamless broadcast” of the Commonwealth Games, the Organising Committee (OC) Chairman, Suresh Kalmadi told a conference of broadcasters here on Friday.

The three-day second World Broadcasters meet for the Rights Holding Broadcasters (RHB) of the Games started on Friday. Host Broadcaster Prasar Bharati and the OC are hosting the meet.

Representatives of Network 10 and FoxTel (Australia), Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, British Broadcasting Corporation, Asian Broadcasting Union and Astro (Malaysia) are among those attending the conference.

Kalmadi said Doordarshan had gathered some of the industry's best TV professionals to ensure that the Games would be broadcast in a memorable way.
