Lamborghini, the Italian luxury and sports car maker, which started a racing series in Asia with last month's first round in Malaysia, is looking at India with a lot of interest too.
“We have started the Asia Super Trophy (the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Asia Series), in the same format (six rounds) that we have in Europe and it was a big success,” said Maurizio Reggiani, Automobile Lamborghini's Director of Research and Development, here on Sunday evening. “In the beginning of July, we'll be in Japan and after that we'll move to China again and to Taiwan. We have 18 cars in Europe and 18 plus two cars in Asia.”
Lamborghini wants to move into more promising markets and India is big on its radar.
“From the marketing point of view, India is a strategic market for us and because of this, we look at India as a potential place for our Super Trofeo in Asia. We want to look at the possibility of hosting a round in India next year.
