T.S. Diljith of Dark Don Racing pulled the best out of his bag when it mattered most to finish on top in the opening race of the Formula LGB4 class in the JK Tyre FMSCI National racing championship at the Kari Motor Speedway here on Saturday.

Diljith is a fighter but he has been overshadowed by both Raghul Rangasamy, the championship leader, and Vishnu Prasad. The duo had called the shots so far but, this time around, Diljith did one better and, with it, collected ten points.

His teammates A. Sandeep Kumar and Ashwin Datta had to rest content for the second and third places.

In the JK Tyre Suzuki Gixxer Cup, Pune’s Tanay Gaikwad made the most of Bengaluru’s Muzammil Ali’s misfortune. The two riders, tied at the top of the leaderboard at the start of the round, were engaged in a keen tussle in Race 1 before Muzammil fell off the bike to clear the path for his closest rival.

In the JK Tyre Novice Cup, it was Mohammed Ryan of MSport all the way. He won both the races in a commanding manner.
