October 28, 2012 12:38 am | Updated 12:38 am IST - NEW DELHI:

At half-a-metre square, weighing 37 kilograms, the 852-page book is the biggest and the heaviest ever on Formula One, considered the world’s most expensive sport.

The Official Formula 1 Opus was released in the presence of cine actor Anil Kapoor here on Friday.

The book features the history of the sport, features exclusive interviews and breath-taking photographs.

Champions Editions

The Champions Editions, limited to only 100 copies, includes a signature page, signed by every living world champion driver.

Protected by a black-carbon-fibre clamshell case, it has been priced at £20,000. The Classic Edition is priced at £2,000.

The first copy of the Champions Edition, first signed by Anil Kapoor, will travel for one year to around 25 countries, including all 20 F1 venues.

During this period, celebrities and VIPs will sign it.

In November 2013, the book will be auctioned for charity. The starting bid already received for the auction is £100,000.
