Force India made all the right noise ahead of Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix with Adrian Sutil positioning himself in the top nine of both the practice sessions here on Thursday.

The German completed 22 laps in the morning session and his best effort of 1:16.805 placed him ninth in the timesheet, four places ahead of teammate Vitantonio Liuzzi (1:17.704).

Sutil came out with an improved 1:15.460 in the afternoon for the eighth fastest time of the segment, while Liuzzi (1:16.528) came 15th.

Hispania driver Karun Chandhok (1:21.853) had an eventful outing as the Indian ran out of grip in the morning session and spun to finish last among 24 drivers, behind teammate Bruno Senna.

In the afternoon, Karun lapped his HRT in 1m 20.313s, just ahead of Senna.

Ferrari’s Fernando Alonso dominated both the sessions, taking a second off his morning time of 1m 15.927s to post 1m 14.904s in the afternoon.
