Austrian Christian Klien has been appointed test driver at Hispania Racing (HRT), the Formula One team announced on Wednesday.
Klien, 27, competed in 46 F1 races for Jaguar and Red Bull 2004-2006. He was then test driver at BMW-Sauber. The Austrian is the second test driver at the F1 newcomers HRT, the other being Japan’s Sakon Yamamoto.
The HRT drivers are Karun Chandhok of India and Brazil’s Bruno Senna.
