Vignesh Naikar, 16-year-old winger from OLGC High School, Sion and Hriday Vaswani, 14-year-old midfielder from Dhirubhai Ambani International School, Bandra, will join 250 kids from across the world for a seven-day training programme at Manchester United Soccer School, England.

Both boys practice at Mumbai United Soccer School, Mumbai, and were shortlisted from 637 schoolboys.

Vignesh and Hriday joined MUSS, Mumbai on the strength of displays in inter-school tournaments and completed module i summer programme 2012 at the Cooperage under Chris O’Brien, head coach at MUSS, Mumbai.

The two boys will leave for Manchester United on Saturday and train at Denstone College, Staffordshire from July 15-20. The training is spread over seven sessions, apart from workshops and tournament play.

MUSS, Mumbai coach O’Brien informed that Vignesh and Hriday will play with children from various nations, picking up skills and approach from other MUSS footballers. “Exposure to young kids like them from different countries and watching different playing styles are major benefits. One week is never enough to learn football, this is just a beginning," he pointed out. Both schoolboys will visit the Old Trafford football stadium, nicknamed the Theatre of Dreams.

MUSS was launched in January 2012 at the Cooperage, in partnership with WIFA.
