March 22, 2012 03:39 am | Updated 03:39 am IST - London

Carlos Tevez made his long awaited comeback on Wednesday as Manchester City came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 and move to within one point of leaders Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.

With 12 minutes to go, Chelsea led 1-0 through a deflected Gary Cahill goal but Sergio Aguero equalised from the penalty spot and Tevez then set up Samir Nasri to score the winner.

The result lifted City back to within a point of United with nine games to go.
