FC Goa looks for turnaround in its fortunes

November 08, 2014 11:46 pm | Updated 11:46 pm IST - Margao:

Boosted by the return of Brazilian Andre Santos, FC Goa would look for a turnaround in its fortunes with a good show against Mumbai FC in their Hero Indian Super League fixture here on Sunday.

FC Goa could be one of the most attacking sides but it lacked in finishing which has put it at the bottom of the league table with four points from six matches. It has won just one match, drawing one and losing four times.

FC Goa coach Zico is likely to make a few changes in the starting line-up but said that his team had the potential to bounce back and return to winning ways.

With two consecutive wins, Mumbai FC is placed fourth with nine points from six matches and a win will put it up the ladder.

Mumbai FC has a balance midfield and a strong defence and a reliable keeper in Subrata Paul.

It will be looking for its third successive win.

Brazilian Andre Moritz and Subash Singh have been doing well upfront, Nicholas Anelka, who scored a goal each in his side’s last two wins, could pose all sorts of problems to the home team defence led by Gregory and Youness.
