Chirag beats Air-India

Chirag United came back from a goal down to put it across Air-India 3-1 in a 20th round ‘I'-League football match at the Balewadi Sports Complex, here on Sunday. Air-India now has 27 points.

Chirag increased its lead over the 13th-placed Pailan Arrows to six points, though the latter has played one game less.

Air-India took the lead in the fifth minute through Sandesh Gadkari. Charles Dsizah equalised for Chirag in the 31st minute when he converted a penalty.

Chirag went ahead in the 65th minute when Sukhwinder Singh found the net before Nigerian David Sunday put the issue beyond doubt three minutes from the final whistle to hand out a stunning defeat to Air-India.
