Bologna harnessed the momentum from its surprise win at Inter Milan on Friday to defeat Fiorentina 2-0 at home in the Italian Serie ‘A' football on Tuesday.
First-half goals from Alessandro Diamanti and Gaston Ramirez secured its second straight victory. Bologna has moved up two places to 14th in the table, while Fiorentina dropped a place to 13th.
It was a second straight reverse following Friday's 3-0 home defeat by Napoli for Fiorentina. With this victory, Bologna moved well clear of the drop zone.
