Barcelona has agreed with backup goalkeeper Jose Pinto to extend his contract by one year until the end of the 2013-14 season.
The Spanish club said on Sunday that Pinto would sign the extension in the coming weeks.
The 37-year-old Pinto has played the past five-and-a-half seasons for Barcelona.
Besides being a reliable backup for first-choice ‘keeper Victor Valdes, Pinto has played all of Barcelona’s Copa del Rey games since the 2008-09 season, helping the club win the cup in 2009 and 2012.
