The New York Red Bulls says that France striker Thierry Henry has joined the MLS club on a “multi-year” deal.
The 32-year-old former Arsenal and Barcelona player is the Major League Soccer side’s second designated player.
In Wednesday’s announcement, the team says that Henry is set to make his debut on July 22 in a friendly against Premier League club Tottenham.
Red Bulls general manager Erik Soler says that Thierry is not only a world class player who will improve the squad, but also someone who has shown “throughout his career that he is a winner.”
