Slovenian leader to watch Slovenia-U.S. match

Slovenian President Danilo Turk will travel to South Africa to watch Slovenia’s match against United States at the World Cup, local media reported on Wednesday.

Turk is travelling to Johannesburg at the invitation of the Slovenian team who wrote in a letter to the President that his presence at the important game would be a great honour and recognition for the Slovenian sport.

Slovenia beat Algeria 1-0 in their first game and Friday’s game against the U.S. could decide whether the team would go to the next stage of the tournament.
