Bayern Munich said captain Mark van Bommel is leaving for AC Milan.
The Netherlands midfielder’s contract was due to expire at the end of the season. Bayern didn’t give details of the transfer deal.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said the German champions agreed to Van Bommel’s wish to be released early from his contract because of his services to the club.
