Coyle leaves Burnley for Bolton

Burnley has announced that manager Owen Coyle had left the club to join Bolton.

Bolton fired Gary Megson last Wednesday and Coyle, who guided Burnley to promotion to the Premier League last season, decided to move to its near neighbour where he had a two-year spell as a player.

Burnley issued a statement saying Coyle had reaffirmed his desire to leave the club and move to Bolton. The two clubs will now discuss what compensation Bolton will pay for Coyle, who had three years left on his contract.
