Sunderland defender Danny Collins has become the latest arrival at Stoke, moving on the final day of the transfer window.

The two clubs agreed on a fee of 2.75 million pounds ($4.5 million) for the 29-year-old Wales defender, who has followed Uruguayan Diego Arismendi, German defender Robert Huth, Turkey captain Tuncay Sanli and Dean Whitehead to the Britannia Stadium.

Stoke manager Tony Pulis said: “Danny has been Sunderland’s player of the year for the past two seasons which speaks volumes for the impact he has had at that level.”
