Chirag in final

Chirag United beat Mohammedan Sporting 5-4, via the tie-breaker, to enter the final of the E.K. Nayanar Memorial Gold Cup all-India football tournament here on Sunday night.

The teams were level 1-1 at the end of the regulation time. Edmilson Marques had put Chirag ahead in the 18th mintue, before Eduardo da Silva Escobar equalised for Mohammedans in the 73rd.

In Wednesday's final, Chirag will take on the winner of the second semifinal to be played on Monday between Viva Kerala and Lajong FC.
