Argentina President Cristina Kirchner has high hopes for her country’s squad at the World Cup in South Africa and suggests that it would be a good idea to clone some of the stars.

When visiting a clone lab in the city of Marcos Paz on Thursday, Kirchner joked that it would be a good idea to clone striker Lionel Messi or coach Diego Maradona, local newspapers reported.

“A Messi, a (Gonzalo) Higuain, a (Carlos) Tevez, Maradona, a (Juan Sebastian) Veron, everyone,” Kirchner said.

Scientists work at the lab to clone sheep, goats and pigs.
