Yuvraj Singh will get his full salary from Pune Warriors, provided he doesn't play any match in IPL 5.

Subrata Roy, Sahara India Parivar's chief that owns Pune Warriors, told reporters here on Saturday that Yuvraj, who is undergoing treatment for cancer in the United States, had wanted to play half of the matches in the IPL.

“But I asked him not; I told him that I would pay his full salary on the condition that he would not play any match at all,” he said. “He needs time to recover after chemotherapy.”

Roy said Yuvraj was very close to him personally. “He is like a son to me,” he said. “I spoke to him just a few days ago over telephone and he sounded in good spirits, as he always is.”
