Under-23 inter-State T20: Andhra beats Goa, lifts trophy

Andhra defeated Goa by 33 runs in the final league match to lift the South Zone under-23 inter-State T20 cricket tournament by garnering 20 points. Kerala and Karnataka finished second and third with 16 and eight points respectively.

Andhra Cricket Association secretary Ch. Arun Kumar gave away the trophies and prizes to the top two teams.

The scores: Andhra 110 for seven in 20 overs (Ch. Jhansi Lakshmi 43, Bhandari two for 18, Tejaswani two for 26) bt Goa 77 in 17.5 overs (Sanjula Naik 30, E. Padmaja three for 14).

Karnataka 82 for seven in 20 overs (G. Divya 35, Aneena Mathews three for 14) lost to Kerala 83 for five in 16 overs (A. Akshaya 44, Rameswari two for 24, G. Divya two for 17).

Tamil Nadu 57 in 19.5 overs (S. Anusha 30, Rachna S. Kumar three for six, Bhogi Shravani three for nine) lost to Hyderabad 58 for four in 10 overs (Nida Rehman two for 12).
